Read the ratio correctly

Confirm whether the published ratio applies to each trolley, the lat pulldown, the low row or a connector joining two cables.

Translate every stack selection into effective handle resistance; do not compare printed stack totals without the ratio.

Allow for attachment mass, cable friction and tolerances instead of promising an exact sensation from arithmetic alone.

Match the ratio to exercises

Choose 1:1 when heavy rows and pulldowns matter more than long, fast handle travel.

Choose 2:1 when small increments, cable flyes and broad movement arcs are the priority.

A hybrid rack can use one ratio for the trolley and another for dedicated high and low outlets, so inspect every station.

Specify the complete cable system

Request minimum and maximum effective resistance, increment size and usable cable travel for the exact configuration.

Test the tallest movement and the widest bilateral movement without letting the stack, carriage or connector reach an end stop.

For a project quote, provide the exercises, target users and expected working loads rather than asking only for the largest stack.
