Start with the movement

List the grips actually programmed: pronated, supinated, neutral, wide, narrow or grip-strength work.

A conventional diameter supports volume; a thick bar shifts demand toward hands and forearms.

Multi-grip spacing and angle must suit the intended users rather than merely look versatile.

Check the rack interface

Match rack series, inside width, crossmember face, hole pattern, bolt length and hardware.

Treat the bar as a structural crossmember only when the rack maker specifies that role.

Measure highest hand position, head clearance, raised handles, lights and ceiling.

Approve the full envelope

Cycle Smith, cable trolley, pulldown, rings and stored attachments through full travel.

Request a dimensioned drawing, grip diameters, usable spans, finish and approved hardware.
