Name the component behind each figure
Build a short list for the exact frame, J-cup set and safety system in the quotation. Include the part series and the mounting arrangement. A capacity printed beside the rack name does not identify every accessory or every position in which the system may be used.
REP's official rack guide separately labels rackable, pull-up and dip capacities for some configurations. Its safety specifications also distinguish series and pair scope. The useful lesson is the separation of uses; none of those values establishes a capacity for a PBF model.
Check single, pair and configuration scope
Ask whether a value describes one support, a matched pair or the complete installed system. A per-pair limit is already for that pair. It cannot be doubled simply because the package contains two arms or two brackets, and an unspecified label needs written clarification.
Confirm the approved rack, mounting holes, depth and installation requirements alongside the rating. A higher accessory figure does not upgrade the frame or authorize a different connection. The dimensions and condition of the assembled load path still need to match the manufacturer's configuration.
Compare the intended load case
Holding a racked bar and catching a missed lift describe different events. Ask the supplier what its figure covers, how the bar contacts the supports and which use limits remain. There is no general multiplication rule that turns a published rackable figure into permission for an arbitrary drop.
REP Labs explicitly separates demonstrations from approved working limits and discourages treating its videos as challenges. A dramatic clip can show a particular setup, but it does not replace the instructions or a scoped report for the hardware being ordered. Do not perform your own overload challenge to resolve a missing specification.
Put the answer into the order documents
Request a configuration sheet linking each applicable limit to the corresponding frame or attachment, its single-or-pair basis and intended use. Where test evidence is supplied, check the model, assembly, method and conditions it actually covers. A material description or another brand's demonstration is not that record.
Share the planned lifts and complete attachment list with PBF before approving the quotation. Ask for the relevant working limits, installation instructions and model- or order-specific evidence. This makes the buying decision traceable without inventing a universal rack capacity or an unsupported certificate.
